Public Artist
The product of artistic parents was raised in Avalon Park
and grew to love painting at an early age. With a desire to create
art, he taught himself oil painting then later continued his training
at The American Academy of Art.
Painting full time, he expanded his creativity and talents into creating murals across Chicago and New York, translating art into electronic media as a graphic design artist. His work displayed in galleries abroad.






Terence Byas also known as “Dred” was born in Chicago, and
currently works as a painter, muralist, custom framer and freelance illustrator. He has been involved in exhibitions at Harrington College
(2015), The Zhou B Art Center (2012), Murphy Hill Gallery (2011), OhNo Doom Gallery (2010), The River East Art Center/ Gallery (2009), and Around the Coyote (2006). His work is in the private collection of Jumaane N’Namdi of G.R. N'Namdi Gallery, Erwin Overes of Studio Oh!, and Nathan Mason of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs.
